Russian Blue, historically known as Foreign Blue, is a breed of cat with a beautiful silver-blue coat. With their intelligence, friendliness, playful nature, great affection for human beings and beautiful blue coat, Russian Blue Cats remain as one of the most sought-after breeds of  family pets and companions. It is a naturally occurring breed in Russian that was first brought the Archangle Isles to England and Northern Europe in 1860s by sailors.

Russian Blue has a lean and elongated body with a short, plush blue-grey coat. They have double coat with a soft and downy undercoat and a thick and soft outer coat. Silver tips on the coat give a shiny and shimmering appearance to the coat. Their eyes are dark and vivid green. Russian Blue is a very active and intelligent animal, which are known to open doors and windows, play with children, fetch toys and sensitive to human emotions. They can get along extremely well with children, other pets and family members, often developing strong and loyal bonds with their beloveds. They are quite and clean animals and are best suited as family pets and companions.
