Warrior Cats or simply Warriors is a novel series of children fantasy, first chapter  of which revolves around a domesticated cat named ‘Rusty’. As the story goes further, Rusty, the warrior cat has strange dreams about life in the forest. Despite the warnings of friends, Rusty ventures out into the forest where  it is attacked by another cat. After the encounter is over, Rusty accepts the invitation to join ‘Thunderclan’, one of the many clans of warrior cats.

In the second series ‘Warrior: The New Prophecy”, the story centers around six cats from four different clans. Likewise, the third and fourth series and other warrior books and editions, describe about the fantasies of cats as warrior cats and leaders of four different warrior clans. Besides the warrior series, millions of copies of supplements, editions, single versions and books in English as well as other language translations have been sold throughout the world. Warrior series is published by an internationally famed publishing company HarperCollins.

Tonkinese is a medium size cat breed that has been been developed by cross breeding a Siamese and a Burmese Cat.  They very distinctive points as found in the Siamese and Himalayan cats.  They are very vocal, lively and friendly cats. First breed of Tonkinese or Tonks was established in Canada in 1984. However, many breeders claim that Tonkinese-like cats have been in existence from as early as 1800s. Tonkinese is more like a Burmese in temperaments than a Siamese.

Tonkinese is a lean and muscular cat with a typically heavier body and a wedge-shaped head. They have large ears that are set towards the outside of their head. They generally come in four colors and a wide variety of patterns including mink, solid and pointed, mink being considered as the most preferable variety for show rings and amongst cats fanciers. Most commonly recognized colors are platinum, champagne, blue and natural. They have golden or bluish-green eyes. Tonkinese is an extremely inquisitive and energetic breed of cats and makes a wonderful companion.

Sphynx or Canadian hairless cat is a breed of rare cats that are well known for its lack of coat. Although hairless cats have been around for many centuries and have been described in many parts of the world but the first successful breed was Sphynx. Due to their hairless coat, Sphynx often keep them warm by cuddling up against other animals and humans, often intending to sleep with their owners under covers.

Despite being described as hairless cats, Sphynx is not truly hairless and the skin is often covered with a very thin layer of hair. They have a sturdy and heavy body with wedge-shaped head. They are best known for their extrovert behaviors, high level of energy, intelligence, curiosity and affectionate temperaments. Sphynx come in a wide variety of colors and marking patterns. Since they do not have any coat, Sphynx cats are literally maintenance-free. However, care should be taken to ensure that they do not remain outdoors for long time, as they can easily develop sunburns.

Siamese is a domestic breeds of Oriental Cats from southeast Asia, which have descended from sacred temple cats of Siam, Thailand. In Thailand, there are several native breeds of Siamese cats. During the twentieth century, Siamese cats have become extremely popular in North America and Europe. Siamese cats, also known as Thai cats or  Classic Siamese cats, are typically long-lived cats, 15-20 years being the average lifespan and more than 20-years not uncommon.

Siamese cats have almond shaped bright blue eyes. They have a short and flat-lying coat. Original Siamese cats had a kink on their tails, which has been eradicated in the newer breeds. Kinked tail varieties are still found on the streets of Thailand. Siamese cats are affectionate and intelligent cats, best known for their social nature and sometimes also described as extroverts. They can not easily adapt to the changes in environments and to the strangers. Siamese cats are extremely vocal with a loud  and low-pitched voice, which is often compared to the cries of new-born human babies.

Serengeti Cat is a cross-breed between a Bengal Cat and an Oriental Shorthair Cat. It is a tall, golden cat with beautiful black spots. They are very much like African Serval Cats except that they are a tamer version of the exotic cats breeds. Serengeti Cats were created in California in 1994 and are still in the development stages. Development is in progress with an ultimate aim to develop a cat similar to Serval Cats but without any blood from wild cats.

Serengeti cats are spotted cats with long legs and large ears. Adult males can weigh up to 15 pounds. Tabby, ebony silver, ebony smoke and solid black are the most commonly recognized colors. In UK, they are famous as brown spotted cats. Owing to their mixed ancestry, Serengeti cats carry mixed genes from number of domestic and wild cats including Asian Leopard Cats, British Shorthair Cats,  Egyptian Mau Cats, Abyssinian Cats, Siamese Cats and even Persian Cats. Serengeti is a beautiful cat with lovely temperaments that makes it suitable as family pets.
