Honeybear is a breed of cat with a medium long, silky and rabbit-like coat. Honeybear is a large, lovely and affectionate breed that are primarily bred for their sweet appearances and docile and placid temperaments. It was first in California in the 1960s by Ann Baker, a Persian Cat Breeder. Cute-looking but ‘dog-like Honeybear get along extremely well with the children and other pets and thus they are extremely popular as family companions. Honeybear has a sturdy and large-framed body with proportionate legs. Their coat is white and soft with Siamese style points. Adult male animals can typically weigh around 20 pounds while females weigh around 10-15 pounds. They have a very typical flat pad under the abdomen. Honeybear is a slow maturing cat that reaches full coat color at the age of two years. They attain full size and weight only by the age of four years.

Highland Lynx is the only breed that has been developed from two existing breeds Desert Lynx and the Jungle Curl. Highland Lynx is similar to Desert Lynx except curled ears. The Jungle curl is a curled eared African Jungle cat hybrid and Desert Lynx is a hybrid between wild bobcat and mild domesticated cat. Highland Lynx has many characteristics that are similar to the bobcat except the curled ears of the Jungle curls. Highland Lynx is a family cat. They are inquisitive and always tend to be part of the household activities.

Highland Lynx comes in both long and short hair versions and requires the veterinary same care as any domestic cat. Many of the Highland cats are six-toed. Highland Lynx is ideally suitable for the people who are looking for a large cat with a distinctive wild appearance and a dog-like personality. They are highly intelligent, strong and muscular cats. Highland Lynx can get along well with other breeds of cats and other pets.

Cornish Rex is a domestic breed of cats that has no hair except for down hairs. Most of the breeds have different types of hair in their coats. Outer fur is guard hairs are about 5 cm long in shorthaired animals and 10+ cm long in longhaired animals. After the outercoat there is a middle level called as awn hairs. Finally, there is an undercoat or down hairs, which is very fine and about 10 cm long. Cornish Rex has only the undercoat or down hair and therefore shed only few fine hairs. Other cats shed lots of hair unlike Cornish Rex.

Coat of Cornish Rex is very fine and sometimes extremely curly, being the softest coat among all the cat breeds. They have a very light coat that makes them suitable only for indoor living in warm and dry conditions. They are susceptible to hypothermia in winter if they are left outdoors. Cornish Rex tends to hang around light bulbs and other warm places. Cornish Rex is often referred to as the greyhound of the cats. They are playful and kittenish throughout their long lives. It is an adventurous, extremely curious and intelligent animal. It is a very mischievous cat that tries to explore wherever it can go including inside the refrigerators and washing machines.

Chartreux is an internationally recognized breed of domestic cats from France. It is a large, muscular and a quiet cat. It is very popular as a companion cat. American Bobtail cat is a relatively new and uncommon breed of cats, which has come into being since the late 1960s. It comes in medium to large sizes and its is very much identifiable from other cats due to its muscular appearance and due to its bobbed tail that is about one-third to one-half the size of normal cat. Extremely affectionate and good-natured American bobtail bears a distinct look of a natural hunter. Despite similar sounding name and physical appearance, Japanese bobtail cat is not related to American bobtail cat.

American bobtail cat is a sturdy breed with a shaggy coat that comes in a wide variety of colors and patterns. Healthy and robust American bobtails are suitable wonderful family pets. American bobtails are highly active and energetic. On a cat activity scale of 1 to 10 (1 being calm and serene and 10 being overactive), American bobtail cat receives a score of around 7 to 8. They possess dog like personalities and are always eager to greet the masters at the door.
