Fat cats should be healthy and not over-weight or obese because unhealthy fat cats can become a liability instead of a cute and lovely family pet. Besides, obesity and overweight can not only create several diseases such as arthritis, diabetes and heart disease among the cats but can also shorten the lifespan of cats. If you search on the Internet about fattest cats on record, you might find number of confusing results; however average weight of large-sized cats is generally 15-20 pounds, depending upon the breed and variety. Nevertheless, healthy cats with weight over 40-50 pounds have also been often recorded throughout the world.

Most commonly recognized colors are platinum, champagne, blue and natural. They have golden or bluish-green eyes. Sphynx or Canadian hairless cat is a breed of rare cats that are well known for its lack of coat. Ragdoll is an American cat breed that is best known for its docile and placid temperaments. First Ragdoll breed was created by a Persian Cat Breeder in California in 1960.
