One of the most common superstition about black cat is it brings bad luck when it crosses the path of a person.

However, depending upon the geographical regions, black cats are also believed to shower good lucks, when a person walks by it. Even in Western history and in United States, black cats are often looked upon as a symbol of evil omens. In Egypt and in many countries black is worshiped by many people and killing a black cat is treated as a criminal offense. Biologically, a black cat is a feline with all black or almost black fur that is uniform all over its body. Black cats do not belong to a specific breed or family of cats, normally being a mixed breed.

Savannah cat is a hybrid domestic breed of cats that has been bred by crossing Serval Cats (Mid-Sized African Wild Cats) and Domestic Cats. The first Savannah Cat was developed in 1986 by a Bengal Cat Breeder. Savannah cats are generally compared with dogs when it comes to their temperaments, being very social, friendly, loyal and intelligent.

Savannah are a larger breed of domestic cats that appear larger than their actual weight due to tall and slim body. Size of Savannah vary with the breeds and the largest cat weighs around 30 pounds. Coat of Savannah would depend upon the domestic cat used for cross breeding; however, brown spotted tabby, silver spotted tabby and black varieties are generally common. Besides, Savannah may also come in non-standard colors and patterns including snow colorations, marble patterns and blue. Majority of the breeds have the features and characteristics of wild cats. Body of Savannah is long and leggy with long head, long slender neck and taller legs. Tail is short with black rings and a solid black tip. Eyes are usually blue but may also be green, brown or golden.

Havana Brown, also known as Swiss Mountain cat, is similar to oriental shorthair cats. It is a moderately sized, muscular and shorthaired cat with a body of average length. Exotic Shorthair is the result of cross between American Shorthair and Persian cat. It was developed in the United States in the year 1960. Exotic Shorthair has the same body as Persian cat, but a thick and dense short coat. Exotic Shorthair is preferred by the people who like the personality of a Persian cat but do not want the hassles of grooming longhaired cats. They are often known as ‘Lazy Man’s Persian’.

Exotic Shorthair has a compact, rounded and powerfully-built body with a short and thick neck. They have large round eyes, short snub nose sweet facial expression and small ears. Head is round and massive with very broad skull, rounded forehead and round and full cheeks. Its muzzle is short, broad and round. It has a strong chin and broad and powerful jaws.
